FTSE STI closed 2,750.86, up 1.71 points or +0.06% with a total volume of 1.28b and a total value of S$1.45b. Total number of advance vs decline was 230 vs 202. US markets closed down yesterday night after rising jobless claim data and fear of Greece debt issue resurfaced. Despite that Asia bourses were mixed for the day. Most bourses swinging between positive and negative region but most of them managed to close in the positive. Nikkei closed +0.24%, SSE -0.28% and HSI +1.03%. STI closed +0.06% with the help of funds adjusting their portfolio doing window dressing. In the afternoon, UOB reported another set of result that beat market expectation but that failed to excite investors. Blue chips were mixed and investors will be looking at the Greece's debt issue and awaiting for detail plan to bailout to reveal.
