US markets closed in the positive yesterday night with a last hour reversal led by banking stocks after CitiGroup CEO sound a positive forecast. Asia bourses were mixed for the day as investors chose to take profit after recent run up for the weekend. Nikkei closed +0.81%, SSE -1.24% and HSI -0.09%. STI continued to edge up with a +0.26% gain with banking and Jardine group stocks led the up.
