US markets closed in the red after news of Portugal's rating being downgraded. Asia bourses were mostly in range bound mode with mixed performance. Nikkei closed +0.13%, SSE -1.23% and HSI -1.10%. STI flipped between negative and positive region and managed to close flat with a +2 points gain as blue chips were having a mixed day. In general markets are in a range bound mode, probably consolidating prior to the next earning season in April.
