US markets were mixed yesterday night with DJ closed positive while both Nasdaq and S&P500 closed in the red after a drop in July consumer confidence offset better corporates' earnings. Asian bourses however were trading in the positive region for the day with Nikkei closed +2.70%, SSE +2.26% and HSI +0.56%. STI was marginally positive while resisted at 3,000 level. Blue chips were mixed as investors remained cautious ahead of DBS earnings this Friday. SIA with its better than expected result led the buying up with a +0.440.
