FTSE STI closed 3,120.44, up 40.70 points or +1.32% with a total  volume of 1.41b and a total value of S$2.17b.  Total number of advance  vs decline was 315 vs 143.  Of the 30 component index stocks, 20 closed  positive, 6 closed negative and 4 remained unchanged.  The top 5 gainer  component stocks were :-

US   markets closed on average at least +0.5% yesterday night after Greek  Parliament passed the required vote on the austerity measures.  Asian  bourses took the cue and with window dressing on the card, rallied at  least +1% for most of them. Nikkei closed +0.19%, SSE +1.23% and HSI  +1.53%.  STI closed +1.32% with 20 out of 30 index stocks registering a  positive closing.  Bank and Property stocks were up on window dressing  coupling with the Jardine group and SingTel.  Tonight is the last round  of vote for the Greek as the lawmakers vote to pass those austerity  measures as a final version before EU and IMF can release the bailout  funds to them
