US markets rallied up yesterday night despite poor economic data probably due to "thanksgiving rally", President-elect Barack Obama appointed key figure in his administration team and anticipation that the 3 automakers will eventually get the bailout they much needed. Asia bourses mostly opened higher but as days progressed soon came off their peak as investors taking profit when US markets will be having a holiday tonight. In STI, SingTel weighed down the index while commodity stocks pushed the index up; resulting STI closed flat for the day.
