US markets ended lower yesterday due to poor economic data. Asia bourses were opened lower this morning and with most bourses having half trading days, lack of fresh buying caused Nikkei down 2.48%, HSI down 0.26% and SSE down 0.67%. STI however bucked the trend closing positive with bank stocks leading the recover. Market still quiet with thin volume as funds are away on holiday.
