STI market was very quiet and very low volume today. Total volume even lower than 24th Dec 08. With fund managers away for holiday and markets like HSI, Europe and Australia all closed for the day, there wasn't any lead except Nikkei which closed +1.63% and even SSE also flattish at -0.05%. STI was trading positive for most of the day until the last minute whereby several of the component stocks gapped down on close that cause the index fell into the negative region.
