US markets were closed yesterday but news of RBS hugh profit loss trigger fear in Asia bourses this morning with all bourses opened gap down. Nikkei closed -2.3%, HSI closed -2.85% and SSE +0.37%. Banks, Property and Offshore/Marine counters led the fall. STI hit intra-day low of 1,693.54 and closed off low. This is the second time within 2 weeks, STI managed to rebound from the 1,680 region.
