US markets were sluggish last Friday despite the news of the final stimulus bill was approved and awaiting for President Obama to sign it. With US markets on holiday for tonight, Asia bourses were mainly flattish for the day. Nikkei closed -0.38%, HSI -0.73% and SSE +2.96%. STI also traded in the range between 1,680 to 1,710. Bank, Offshore/Marine, Comodity and Telco were down while Property stocks were mixed. STI market lacked buying interest as investors chose to sideway when there isn't any clear direction in US markets tonight.
