US markets fell yesterday night and Asia bourses were mainly weak in today trading. Nikkei closed +1.48%, HSI -0.65% and SSE -1.81%. STI gave up all the gain this morning and closed -1.40%. In the afternoon, UOB announced a weaker than expectation earnings and drag down the bank stocks. Coupling with the drop in SingTel, STI ended the week below 1,600 level.
