US markets closed down again giving up all the gain in the early part of the day. Asia bourses were relatively weak in opening tracking the drop in US markets. However, bargain hunting and hoping for a rebound for US markets tonight reversed most of Asia bourses. Nikkei closed -0.44%, HSI +3.08% and SSE +1.88%. STI reclaimed back the 1,473 level and closed +1.98% with bank, property, offshore/marine and commoditites stocks leading the gain.
