US markets closed flattish on the positive side last Friday and Asia bourses mostly opened on the positive side this morning with the exception of STI. Asia bourses firmed up for the day with Nikkei closed +1.78%, HSI +3.60% and SSE +1.15%. STI opened down with investors taking off profit after a 5% ran up last Friday. However, as other Asia bourses firmed up STI recovered from this morning drop to close +0.56% with bank and property stocks leading the rebound.
