US markets fell last night over the situation of GM and Chysler bailout. However, Asia bourses were relatively muted to the drop in US the night before. Probably due to quarterly end of the month window dressing. Most of the bourses opened positive. Nikkei reversed early gain and closed -1.54%, HSI +0.89% and SSE +0.64%. STI was under window dressing sentiment but with a little cautious. Most of the blue chips were up in particular bank, property and offshore/marine counters. Investors still very cautious about the global economy situation and also tomorrow will be start the earnings reporting season and investors would be looking at those result to give a further view of the overall situation.
