US markets fell yesterday night due to a weak retail sales number and an increase in the foreclosures. Investors starting to take concern about the economy might take longer time to recover even if the worse is over. Asia bourses reacted with the drop by opening negative. Nikkei closed -2.64%, SSE -0.90% and SSE -3.04%. STI retreated almost 3% with bank, property, commodity and offshore/marine counters taking the hit. SingTel reported is 4Q earnings and beating market expectation. Today volume was thin at 2.3b with investors staying sideline to bargain hunt awaiting for more clearer signals to re-enter the market.
