US markets closed firmed up last Friday and this signal a very positive tone for Asia bourses this morning despite the H1N1 flu still not yet been contained. Nikkei was closed for holiday and will resume trading on Thursday. HSI closed +5.54% and SSE +3.32%. Investors were boost by the China manufacturing data and snapping up the blue chips. STI closed +5.65% with heavy volume as broad market rallied up. Banks were the biggest gainer for the index. Ahead of this week, 7th May US Government will release the result of the bank stress test to the public and this should be something what investors are looking for.
