US markets closed positive yesterday night with news of better jobless claims and retail sales data. Asia bourses took the cue and started the day in the positive but investors soon chose to take profit for the weekend in a thin volume trading day. Nikkei closed +1.55%, SSE -1.92% and HSI +0.53%. STI closed down 0.20% in a mixed performance for the blue chips. Investors are taking a cautious stand to awhile for more direction from US.
