US markets closed mixed last Friday with economic data Consumer Confidence dropped in middle of July. Investors were also cautious ahead of this week when the banks like GS, JPM and BoA report their earnings. Asia bourses were subjected to selling pressure as investors took profit and remained cautious ahead of the earnings. Nikkei closed -2.55%, SSE -1.07% and HSI -2.56%. STI opened in the positive but soon sink below the 2,300 level when the selling kicked in. Blue chips from all sectors will under selling pressure. STI did managed to close off intra-day low when Europe bourses opened flattish. Singapore will kick off the earning season with SPH report its earning after market close.
