US markets retreated yesterday night when consumer confidence data fell and that worried investors. Asia bourses were mainly traded in narrow range, thin volume as investors are searching for direction. Nikkei closed -0.19% and SSE +1.65% ( China reported its manufacturing sector is still explanding in month of June ). HSI was closed for the day. Without any directon from HSI, STI was up +0.83% in a very thin volume day; less than 1 billion in total volume as most are still sideline with some snapping up blue chips. Market sentiment was slightly improved in the afternoon; reverse its loss when European bourses opened firmly up.
