US markets moved up yesterday night after series of positive corporate earnings. Asia bourses took the momentum and traded in positive region. Nikkei closed +1.89%, SSE +2.73% and HSI +1.68%. STI were in positive region until when European markets opened weak that caused it to swing into negative region. However, possible funds window dressing for end of the month pushed the index up to close +23 points with bank stocks leading the rebound. Next week the 3 local banks will roll out their earnings and this should be the main focus for the play.
