US markets closed mixed yesterday night with DJ and SP500 in the positive and Nasdaq in the red after better Service economic data against a drop in crude oil price. Asia markets were trading in a tight range for the day with Nikkei closed -0.34% and HSI -0.65%. STI managed to recover from negative when European markets opened firm up. Offshore/Marine stocks were under selling pressure when crude oil price fell below US$65/barrel. Investors are still cautious as can see from the thin volume whole awaiting for more economic data and corporate earnings from US.
