US markets moved up yesterday night with Wal-Mal posted a surprise profit offsetting a weak retail sales data. Asia bourses were mostly range trade for the day with Nikkei closed +0.76%, SSE -2.98% and HSI +0.15%. STI swung between positive and negative throughout the day and managed to close +0.66% with bank counters leading the up movement.
