US markets extended the drop last Friday with a less impressive industrial production data. Asia bourses took the cue and traded in the negative region with Nikkei closed -2.50% mainly due to the strengthening of the Yen which will hurt its economy. SSE though managed to open in the positive region but soon closed -2.65% and HSI -2.07%. STI inline with other regional bourses traded in negative region for the day closing -1.26%. Investors are now looking for further catalysts to move the market up and this week US will be releasing its final version of 2Q09 GDP and its unemployment rate. Market in general is slightly bias towards the downtrend for the short-term.
