US markets ended in the red last Friday after a disappointing unemployment rate of 9.8%. Asia bourses started the day bias towards the downside with Nikkei closed -0.59% but HSI managed to reverse some loss and closed +0.26%. STI currently struggling to close near the 2,600 level with couple of bearish news hurting the market. Source citing MAS required Banks to raise more capital and that put a bearish and selling pressure on the 3 local bank price levels. Investors are currently looking at this Wednesday when Alcoa will be releasing its earning which kicks start the earning season for US. STI penny stocks were under heavy selling pressure after the recent run up as investors chose to take profit while blue chips were range bound with sentiment bias towards the downside at the moment.
