US markets were mixed yesterday night with DJ closed with a new 2009 high whereas Nasdaq and S&P500 closed in the negative. Asia bourses were mixed for the day with Nikkei closed +0.01%, SSE -0.11% and HSI +1.61%. STI was traded in positive region for the day with banks, commodity and offshore/marine stocks leading the rally. SingTel reported its earning this morning was up $0.04 closing at day high. In the afternoon session with European markets opened in the positive region coupled with a positive DJ future, STI closed at day high and record a new 2009 high at 2,740.43. Investors were snapping up the blue chips.
