FTSE STI closed 2,792.84, up 12.86 points or +0.46% with a total volume of 1.35b and a total value of S$1.71b. Total number of advance vs decline was 225 vs 188. US markets closed relatively flat in the red after a reported +2.8% 3Q GDP growth as compared with earlier estimation of +3.5%. Asia bourses were mixed in the early part of the day but soon managed to close in the positive. Nikkei +0.43%, SSE +2.07 and HSI +0.84%. STI was range bound between the 2,770 - 2,800 level when blue chips were mixed. Bank and Commodity stocks were supporting the index at the moment. Investors will be looking at tonight US personal income/outlays data to conclude on a short trading week for US and Singapore markets.
