US markets fell at least 2.5% last Friday after concern on weak consumer confidence. Asia bourses took the cue and opened in the negative region but soon closed well off their intra-day low. Nikkei closed -2.31%, SSE +2.70% and HSI -0.61%. STI recovered from the early drop to finish -0.22% with very cautious of buying of blue chips being observed. Investors will be looking at this week US economic data like ISM Mfg figure, unemployment rate etc to determine the recovery of US economy.
