US markets ended positive in a flat trading day. Asia bourses window dressed up for the last trading day of year 2009. Nikkei was closed for holiday, SSE closed +0.35% and HSI +1.75%. STI though failed to hit the 2,900 level but managed to close at a new record high for year 2009 at 2,897.62. STI opened in the negative but with funds window dressing snapping up the blue chips enabled STI to close record high.
