US markets closed up yesterday night ahead of Intel's earning. After market closed, Intel reported a beat market expectation set of result. Asia bourses were cheered by the result and traded in the positive region for the first half of the day but with weekend in mind, investors chose to take some profit causing some index to close slightly in the red for the day. Nikkei closed +0.68%, SSE +0.33% and HSI -0.29%. STI closed -0.04% in a thin volume trade for the day with the blue chips performing mix.
