US markets pulled back at least 1% yesterday night with bank stocks leading the sell off prior to President Obama proposal of curbing proprietary trading by the banks and also fear of China might tighten policy to cool down potential over heating economy. Asia bourses took the cue and experience selling down for the day. Nikkei closed -2.56%, SSE -0.96% and HSI -0.65%. STI dipped below 2,800 level but managed to recover and close above it with a drop of 31.27 points. Banks, Property and Commodity stocks led the selling down.
