US markets were mixed yesterday night with DJ and S&P500 closed positive while Nasdaq closed slightly in the negative. Markets reversal in the last hour of trading as concern of Europe airspace ( due to ash cloud ) eased and the fraud suit with Goldman Sachs. Citigroups also reported a better than expected earning yesterday night earning mainly due to trading/investment return. The underlying of loan income still weak. Asia bourses took the cue of the rebound and most of them managed to recover portion of yesterday loss. Nikkei closed -0.07%, SSE -0.03% and HSI +1.02%. STI yet to reclaim 3,000 level and that appears to be current resistance for now. However, the easing of the European airspace due to the ash cloud has allow airlines stocks to rebound for the day. Investors will be looking at more Corporate earnings to be released both in US and locally, the Goldman Sachs's fraud case and the ash cloud issue cautiously before jumping back into the stock markets.
