US markets closed mixed yesterday night with tech stocks moving up as investors still concern about the European debt issue. Asia bourses were also mixed due to the lack of direction. Nikkei reversed earlier gain to close -0.16%, SSE and HSI reversed earlier loss to close +0.31% and +0.33% respectively. STI swing between positive and negative region but managed to close +0.79% as late afternoon the positive opening of European bourses boasted some bargain hunting on the blue chips. However, volume still thin as investors still remain cautious.
