US markets were mixed yesterday night with DJ and S&P500 closed positive but Nasdaq closed negative as the market was divided with a positive comment from US Fed Chief about economy recovery from European debt issue. Asian bourses were also mixed with Nikkei closed -1.04%, SSE +2.78% ( after reporting a better than expected export data ) and HSI +0.69%. STI opened in the negative but soon move into positive region with bargain hunting and advanced as much as 20 points after SSE surged 2% but soon pare gain and closed slightly negative in a very thin volume trading day. With European markets opened weak, investors playing cautious and sent STI to close slightly negative.
