US markets were flattish yesterday night with investors on one hand upbeat on the corporates' earnings but on the other hand worried about the economy recovery after Fed minuted showed sluggish in recovery and also a dip in June retail sales data. Asian bourses were mostly in negative region as profit taking kicking in and investors concerned about further upside of the stock markets. Nikkei closed 1.12%, SSE -1.87% amd HSI -1.48%. As most regional markets closed in the red and coupled with flattish DJ future and European markets, STI was directionless and closed 9.26 points down with only 8 of the 30 component stocks managed to close in the positive.
