US markets closed positive yesterday night but off the high as gain was pared off after a weaker than expected service sector economic data. Asian bourses took the paring off gain unable to hold up the gain in US markets as weakness and investors selling off yesterday gain to lock in profit. Nikkei closed -0.63%, SSE +0.49% and HSI -1.13%. STI swinging between positive and negative region lacking of direction and with European markets opened at least down 1% coupled with a negative DJ future, the selling piled up near closing and caused STI to close -0.24%. The downside was cushioned by the Jardine group of share.
