US markets continued to advance yesterday night with average 1% gain with IMF raise global economy growth and a better than expected jobless claim data. Asian bourses took the cue and traded in the positive region for the day with Nikkei closed +0.52%, SSE +2.31% and HSI +1.64%. STI managed to cross the 2,900 level and closed above it edging towards the resistance at 2,940. 20 out of 30 component stocks led by banking stocks closed in the positive. Total volume also increased as penny stocks were in focus for today trading. With IMF raise global economy growth and expectation of a better earning in the coming earning season, investors are cautiously snapping up the blue chips.
