US markets continued to advance yesterday night after the new bank regulations over the weekend.  However, Asian bourses were on a profit taking mode for the day as investors chose to take profit from recent run up.  Nikkei closed -0.24%, SSE +0.01% and HSI +0.17%.  STI could not hold on to gain for most part of the day and with DJ future and European markets in the red, profit taking from the blue chips pushed STI to close down 0.59%.  However, total volume exceeded 2 billion as penny stocks were in play.
