US markets inched up yesterday night with industrial production data showing positive despite missed expectation. Asian bourses were mostly down for the day with Nikkei closed -0.07%, SSE -1.89% ( dragged down by bank jittering due to tightening measures ) and HSI -0.16%. STI swung between positive and negative region opening positive, hit intra-day high of 3,086.20 but profit taking coupling with Asian bourses negtive sentiment, European markets opening flattish and DJ future negative sent STI to close -0.13%.
