US markets closed slightly positive last Friday but Asian bourses were mixed for the day.  Nikkei was closed for holiday, SSE closed -0.38% and HSI +0.03%.  STI though swing to the red slightly in the early part of the day but managed to maintain in the positive region for the rest of the day and closed +0.15%.  There were little movement from the blue chips and most of the play was on penny stocks.  Again Genting SP and Genting HK provided majority of the volume for the day.  Investors will be waiting for US Fed's comment this coming Tuesday about how the Fed going to support the economy recovery.

Although STI looks set to moving towards the 3,120 level but do watch out for potential divergence occurred and if so, STI might pull back to 2,930 - 2,950 level.
