US markets closed marginally positive yesterday night but Asian bourses were mixed for the day. Nikkei closed -2.09%, SSE +1.23% and HSI -0.37%. STI marginally edged positive in the morning but soon pared all the gain in the afternoon when European markets opened down average 1% and DJ future was also in the red. STI closed -0.44% with only 4 of the 30 component stocks managed to close positive. Investors taking profit, maintain cautious ahead of corporate earnings.
