US markets closed slightly negative yesterday night after an unexpected rise in jobless claim and concern over US banks' foreclosure practices. After market closed, Google reported a better than expected earning. Asian bourses mostly closed lower for the day with Nikkei -0.87%, SSE +3.18% and HSI -0.40%. STI like SSE bucked the trend closed +0.29% at 3,204.27 with mixed performance from blue chips and a very thin volume day with total volume less than 2 billions. Investors are looking at tonight US Fed's statement on possible when the stimulus will be injected.
