US markets closed at least 1% yesterday night as consumer spending and jobless claim economic data showed US economy is improving and coupling with the 2 Koreas' tension eased, Ireland debt settling down. Asian bourses took a relief with that and mostly traded in positive region for the day. Nikkei closed +0.50%, SSE +1.34% and HSI +0.13%. STI traded in the positive region between 3,150 - 3,170 range in a very thin volume day. Investors cautiously bargain hunt the battled down blue chips resulting in 21 out of 30 component stocks closed positive. US markets will be closed for today for Thanksgiving holiday.
