US markets closed down at least 0.6% after US Fed cut growth forecast, maintained low interest rate for extended period but no mentioning of further stimulus package to boast the economy.  Sentiment was on the bearish side with the cutting of growth forecast but the brighter side is US Fed though did not specifically mention possibility of another QE3, it does not rule out shutting out of stimulus to support the economy.  Asian bourses took the cue and were mostly traded in negative region but closed mixed with some bargain hunting.  Nikkei closed -0.34%, SSE +1.47% and HSI -0.46%.  STI managed to edge out +0.06% in a very thin volume day due to cautious bargain hunting.  Support and resistance were kept at 3,020 and 3,080 respectively for the time being.  15 out of the 30 component stocks managed to register positive closing.
