US markets fell at least 0.90% last Friday due to the fiscal cliff.  Asian bourses were mixed for the day.  Nikkei was closed for holiday.  SSE presently at +0.48% and HSI +0.16%.  STI flat with +0.16% after half-day trading on Christmas eve.  20 of the 30 index stocks managed to post positive closing.

There will be no deal on fiscal cliff done before Christmas and Obama is pushing for some solution after Christmas as the House will be back to work on 27th December 2012.  The last few days of the year will be critical as whether US can come out a short-term or long-term fix for the fiscal cliff.  Markets should be volatile as the clock ticks.
