US markets closed in the red after weaker than expected ISM data despite showing expansion.  Asian bourses were mixed for the day.  Nikkei -1.08% due to Yen strengthening, SSE -0.3% and HSI +0.31%.  STI managed to edge out some gain of 0.3% in thin volume and value day.  Of the 30 index stocks, 11 managed to register positive closing.

Global economic data continued to show economy is recovering but the weaker than expected weighed down on market sentiment.  Question, are those expectation really accurate ?

For STI except for the blue chips showing some resilient, most of the stocks in particular penny were under selling pressure as investors were practically unsure of the market direction.  Market should be able to see some bottoming within the next 2 weeks.
